About the tournament

Movement, socialising, and match experience

We invite you to a friendly table tennis championship over 10 stages, every Thursday. The mini-tournaments are designed for movement and socialising, and as focused practice for beginners — ideal for learning to handle emotions in an official match and gaining the experience needed for official AmaTur tournaments we will host at our venue.

Format

Three categories, one goal

Groups are formed on the spot across three skill levels. Pick the one that fits you.

Hobby Starter

For those who have just discovered table tennis and want a relaxed competitive vibe. We can lend you a bat if you don’t have one.

Hobby Challenger

For players who know the basics and want to test their progress against well-matched opponents.

Advanced / Open

For experienced players who want high-level competition.

Logistics & format

How it’s played

A qualification-style flow to mirror finals experience. If there are two groups in the same category, tie-break matches are played:

Places 1–2

1st places in groups play the Grand Final.

Places 3–4

2nd places in groups play the Small Final.

Places 5–6

3rd places in groups play a placement match.

Places 7–8

4th places in groups play a placement match.

Stage 10 · Grand final

Grand final on a weekend day

The last stage runs on a weekend day, with more time for play, the final awards, and a special surprise from the venue for everyone who took part.

You don’t have to play every stage, but consistency helps your standing.

Changing category

You can move to another category anytime; points earned do not carry over.

We have up to 8 tables. Groups are formed on site based on who signs up.

Group format

If there is a single group or a different number of groups, ranking follows head-to-head results as applicable.
